The Winskill Disc Golf course was originally a ball golf par 3 course. In 1976 the Royal Canadian Frisbee Association, designed and and installed the course. Winskills Park is the 1st polehole course in Canada and 7th in the world.
There are 9 baskets,5 metal tonals and 1-2 hanging tonals. Since the kids at the park like to drag them around the park and beyond the amount of tonals flucuates.
The map below is the original course layout. The coursed has morphed into 30 rounds of disc golf, leaving the original round now out of date. The original layout is a easy par course. The best score for that 9 is officially -10.
Anyone can come and play.
People on the course can sell you discs or you can buy discs at toys and tech. (beside the laundry mat)
There are usually golfers there everyday and people will help you figure out the course.
Hi guys, I’m trying to find some info about the T Town club. I play winskill all the time and was wondering if you guys still meet there regularly. I’m looking to become more involved in disc golf and it seems that joining a club is the best way that I can do that.
We do not have a regular schedule.
Weekends are the best bet to find other players.
Come out any day and we will be happy to show you around.
Hey Dave,
Thanks for dropping by.
Glad to hear this brought back some old memories.
Drop by the course one day and we would love to play a round with you!
Regards,
Geoff
